How it started

We were just chasing air conditioning.

This whole story started for a very serious athletic reason: It was hot. August 2025. Austin, Texas. Very, very hot. So we did what any reasonable people would do: we ran into the nearest ice rink. No plan. No goals. No dreams of competitions. No idea figure skating was about to hijack our lives. We just wanted to cool off. And Mikayla really couldn't skate.

About Mikayla

Before the proof, she believed.

She trains in Austin, Texas. What started as a way to escape the August heat turned into early mornings, competition weekends and four gold medals in her first full season.
